Principles of operation

The MRL2 device is a phase-shift measurement device that compares the outgoing and returning wave signals to determine the distance to a target. The phase shift between the sent and the received modulated frequency waves are measured and the distance is calculated. This shift is adjusted based on ambient lighting conditions and temperature.
