Distance laser sensor MRL2 modelThe MRL2 Distance Laser Sensor is a powerful and robust measuring module designed to meet the demands of the industrial measurement market. They accurately measure to any opaque surface. These devices offer many outstanding features including compact size, simple interfacing via serial or analog outputs and a visible laser spot. Read the technical specifications in the data sheet.

The MRL2-H model is identical to the MRL2 sensors except, it has an extended temperature range down to -40°C.

The MRL2 device is a time-of-flight measurement device that compares the outgoing and returning wave signals to determine the distance to a target. These frequency waves are timed to an internal clock to measure the time it takes for the laser light to go out and return to the sensor. This time-of-flight is often calibrated based on ambient lighting conditions and temperature.
