Where can you find a clamp that can accommodate any shape or size? There are many types of application-specific clamp adaptations, however these custom made clamps increase both cost and setup time. The principle of locking an item between two faces is thrown into disarray when a curve, a corner or an elbow is present – especially when the clamp needs to orient the work piece by “gripping” one of these features.

MRC distributes support, holding, fixing and clamping equipment from Matrix GmbH. Matrix-systems technology is based on a grid of spring-loaded pins that adjust to the contour of parts. Once adjusted, the user turns a lever to lock the pin position and clamp the part into place. This series of products are ideal for test and measurement fixtures, automotive fixture and simple machine shop applications.

Matrix holding systems are functional and economical. The complex work piece is fixed between two jaws and clamped using only one tool. With this simple operation, results are achieved much
faster. With axially mobile pins, the jaws of the grip can adapt to each individual work piece as needed. Product-specific jaws are no longer
required.
